There's a warm and friendly welcome waiting for you at the 'Rose', a vibrant and popular community pub in the village of Golcar, near the market town of Huddersfield in the heart of the West Yorkshire Pennines, where you'll find good company, a relaxing atmosphere, a seperate games room, a pleasant outdoor summer seating area, and a choice array of top quality Beers, Lagers, Wines & Spirits
We are a well established Free House that offers
a wide selection of refreshing Beers, cool Lagers, various designer Bottled drinks and Ciders, plus a full shelf of Wines & Spirits, and are also the 'Brewery Tap' outlet for the Golcar Micro Brewery, who supply us with excellent locally brewed cask conditioned and keg beers, with the Golcar Bitter being especially favoured by the locals
Food is not served midweek, but Sunday Lunch is great value and is well worth a visit - Families are always welcome with special rates for children
Live Music entertainment featuring
Local Bands and Singers
are often booked in our large Function Room
Live Sports are regularly shown on 42" & 60" Plasma TV's, plus others around the pub, including a large projector in the function room, making sure you see and feel the big match 'live' atmosphere at all sporting events
The 'Rose' has Dominoes and Pool teams,
and runs a Football team in the local sunday league,
and is also proud to sponsor the village sports teams at
Golcar United AFC and Golcar Cricket & Bowling Club
